Windows 7 QUICK REVIEW :-
After the failure of windows vista microsoft was all geared up for the release of their new OS Windows 7. I was one of the beta tester and here are some of the features that i hated and liked the most:
LIKES:-
1)Much faster than its previous OS vista and people with low pc configuration can run Windows 7 with easily with most of the features turned on.
2)DirectX 11 is the next big thing as far as Pc games are concerned. It has included better filtering better textures and much better GPU optimization than its predecessor. Its got a bright future up ahead
3)The taskbar has been modified finally by microsoft for the first time. There are no more large tabs but small icons that strategically display the contrent required by the user. So one can easily open 10 to 15 tasks at the same time and handle with ease.
4)brilliantly crafted search engine.
DISLIKES :-
1)The prices for the ultimate version are way too higher compared to the apple snow leopard available for Rs1800
2The basic version and the ultimate version has very little difference.
3)Unsuccessful merging of media center and media player.

With the ever increasing popularity of snow leopard windows 7 is having a hard time to keep up with the popularity of mac. Priced low and the first truely 64bit interface snow leopard is a consumer's dream come true as far as apple is conserned. But when it comes to gamming and online support microsoft is still the king with the latest direct x11 and unique 1:1 product support. But why is windows 7 priced so high? thats a big question.
